Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector – Daily All-in-One B.B. Cream

Guest Post By Kiran of Cherry Lane.

Hi everyone!! I’m so excited to be doing this guest post for the amazing Vivacious Blog!! Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity!
So by now you must all have heard the hype around B.B. Creams...if not where have you been?! Just in case you haven’t...
Here’s the low down:
1.       BB stands for Blemish Balm or Beauty Balm (depending on the marketing spin)
2.       Originally formulated in Germany by Dr Christine Schrammek in the 1960s but then became extremely popular in the 2000s in South Korea. They have been around for years in  East Asia but have only just discovered by the rest of the world recently.
3.       Initially it was used by dermatologists to help laser surgery patients protect, soothe and refine highly sensitive skin while providing light coverage to hide post-laser scars, acne and other blemishes.
4.       AIM – An all-in-one product to moisturise, conceal blemishes and imperfections, provide SPF protection and treat skin.

What Garnier claim...

Here is what I think...
When you first squeeze the cream out it looks like quite a thick constancy but it transforms into a light texture and melts into your skin nicely. Its very easy to apply and blend in.
I had the shade ‘Light’ which is actually not as pale as I expected! I would say I have very light complexion for an Indian chick but compared to UK skintones I would say I am kinda a warm olive in the winter. I thought that the Light shade would make me look like a ghost but surprisingly I found that it suited my winter skin perfectly! It balanced out my skintone and gave me a lovely glow! :-D I think in the summer when I’m more tanned I would try the next shade up.

I feel this product gave me a lovely natural light- medium coverage but also left my skin feeling very light like I had nothing on (unlike foundation) which I love. My dry skin felt very moisturised and supple.
In the photo below I didn’t use any moisturiser or primer...I just applied the cream onto my bare skin. But when I went to apply the product to the other side of my face I did use a moisturiser just because I do have dry patches and I wanted to give it something extra (nothing fancy just Johnson’s Baby Soothing Naturals cream you can link this http://www.boots.com/en/Johnsons-Baby-Soothing-Naturals-Cream-250ml_41398/ ). Even though my skin felt moisturising using the BB cream on its own I feel that for my skin using a light moisturising underneath gave it that extra boost.
Overall the BB cream gave me a lovely slightly dewy finish which for oily skin could result in some shine (this is the only negative I could find with this product) but for my dry skin was great!

Would I buy this again? Yes! It does what it claims...soften my blemishes, coverage gave my skin a healthy glow, my skin felt moisturised...and with the added bonus of SPF15! Bonza!! Lol

The deets...
Garnier B.B. Cream comes in two colours ‘Light’ and ‘Medium’. A full sized tube comes with 50ml of product which I think is a pretty generous size (20ml more than you would get with a standard foundation!).
This product is priced at £9.99 RRP. If you are outside the UK you can pick this up for £8.50 from FeelUnique.com (http://www.feelunique.com/p/Garnier-Miracle-Skin-Perfector-Daily-All-In-One-B-B-Cream-Light-50ml) and the best thing is they provide FREE DELIVERY WORLDWIDE! Woopwoop!!

For people in the UK Boots.com selling this for a promotional price of £7.50 at the moment as well as giving away free samples on their website (click here http://www.boots.com/en/Garnier-Miracle-Skin-Perfector-Daily-All-In-One-B-B-Blemish-Balm-Cream-Light-50ml_1230500/?id=4236661 ).
Hope you enjoyed my review!

Oriflame Pure Color Nail Polish Intense Pink

As you all know that I got Oriflame pure color nail polish during my oriflame haul. The shade I got is intense pink. I must say the color is really intense and I love this shade of pink.

Catalogue says - Glossy, high shine nail polish in a huge range of exciting shades. Gorgeous finish, fantastic colours – and what’s more, it’s unbelievable value.

Price - 149/- for 8ml. Discounted price - 129/-

Have a look at it's fat and fluffy brush. As you can see that brush takes a lot of color at a time. So here is the tip when you apply the nail paint from this brush use a light hand.

All the information written on bottom of nail paint.

This is the single coat of intense pink, so I didn't apply the next coat because the first coat was sufficient to show color -

Pros -
  • Amazing bright shades.
  • Staying power is 6-7 days.
  • Dries within 2-3 mins.
  • Quality is really good.
  • It has glossy finish.

Cons -
  • I'm not saying that brush is not good but somehow I feel it's too fluffy than normal.

Konad iloje Flobu Eye Shadow in White Pearl Review

Hello Butterflies!
Today I'm going to review Konad iloje Flobu eye shadow in white pearl. I really don't know how to pronounce the word 'iloje' (E-LO-J). :P
You can check out it's site here : http://ilojeflobu.com/ and there you can also watch it's never seen commercial ad.
When I first saw this eye shadow on nailsandbeauty.in online shopping site. I noticed it's packaging and small butterfly impression on it after which I made my mind to buy it.
Price : Rs. 130/- (I purchased it from nailsandbeauty.in)

Special Features:
Eye shadow with colorful pearls for dazzling eyes
Long lasting, rich colors add 3D highlight to the eyes
Match different colors to create beautiful eyes!
iloje Flobu Eye Shadow's silicon powder gives fine particles and a soft feel that enable moisturized and silky smooth application.
Enhanced skin adhesiveness prevents the makeup from becoming pasty on the face.
Non-clumping, long-lasting color makes bright and beautiful eyes possible.
Furthermore, outstanding color and subtle pearls change according to the angle of the light to give fine, 3D eye makeup.
With iloje Flobu Eye Shadow, you can select the color of your choice and create a unique color palette.
1)Apply an adequate amount to an eyebrow brush or the bottom of a finger and spread naturally over the skin.
2)Apply point color to the tip of a sponge and rub it on the back of the hand or tissue to control the color intensity.
3)Spread on the skin around the eyes to finish the makeup.

Packaging : It comes in a plastic see through packaging.

On eye shadow there is an impression of beautiful butterfly.

On my eyes I'm wearing only white pearl eye shadow. This is a beautiful shade of pearl.

Pros :

  • Beautiful texture of eye shadow, it just melts on your eyelids.
  • Really Long-lasting.
  • Does not flake or fall. Even when I was applying it, it doesn't fall out.
  • No creasing.
  • Rich colors.
  • 10 shades to choose.
  • 3D eye makeup, its subtle pearls change according to the angle of the light.
  • (There is one more thing which I really liked, I mentioned it after cons).

Cons :

  • None. Yes, there is nothing. This product is available only online which can be the minus point, but I personally don't think that. :)

* When I first applied it gently on my eyes, it gives very light shade with pearly finish which was perfect for day look but when I applied more it becomes darker with more pearly effect which can definitely rock the night look.

Rating : 5/5

This is the first product I rated 5/5.
It's a great product, definitely recommend it to you girls. Do try it.
