Green Eye Makeup, EOTD

Celebs does know how to rock out the sparkling makeup trends.
This green eye look is inspired by Keri Hilson eye makeup. But I did it a bit differently.

You'll need -

  • Primer
  • Foundation.
  • Concealer.
  • Copper eye shadow.
  • Golden eye shadow.
  • Green eyeliner or green eye shadow. (I used green eye shadow)
  • Black eye shadow.
  • Makeup brushes.
Let's begin -
1. After preparing your eyes with primer and concealer, apply gold eye shadow on center of eye lid.
2. Then use copper eye shadow on whole eyelid. Blend gold and copper eye shadow.
I didn't use any eye shadow for crease and brow bone.

3. Now apply green eyeliner (you can also use green gel eyeliner) But in case if you don't have any of these then use the green eye shadow and apply it with the help of liner brush as I did. :)

4. Now the twisted part, use black eye liner or eye shadow for the outer winged style. Blend the green and black eye liner to get the look.
The liner should be thicker on outer corner of your eyes.

5. Then apply black eyeliner or eye shadow on outer side of lower lash line.

 6. Then apply loads of black mascara. I wanted to use fake lashes but I forgot. :P
And yes I also forgot to apply blush. :P

For lips - For sophisticated and neat style use a nude gloss.

Hope you like it. :)

New Year's Eye Look - Deep Purple

Hello Butterflies!
Last day of 2011 and we all are getting ready for the new year party. So here is the New Eve's party look. I choose purple to be the main color. It's kind of smokey eye look.

How to get this look -

  • As first step I applied a copper shade on my eye lids (blend through the lash line to the crease).

  •  Take your deep purple eye shadow and just pop it on center of eyelid and blend it.

  •  With the help of angled brush apply black eye shadow on upper lash line.

  •  A bit more black color on outer v-corner of eye to make it more dense.

  •  Blend all the colors and apply fake eye lashes.

  • Now apply black or blue eyeliner on upper lash line. I used a delicate swipe of black eyeshadow on lower lash line.
  • Then add loads of black mascara and you're done with the eyes.

I love Pink. And light pink lip color is nice to wear with bold eyes. You can also wear nude or clear lip-gloss with the bold eyes.

Like it? Love it? Or ?

Natural & Morning Makeup Look

Hello Everyone!

Whether you are a working women, mother of children and stay home mom, student or business women who have little or no-time in the morning to put on the makeup then this post is for you.

So here is wake up and make up routine -
1. After cleansing and moisturizing your skin you're going to start right away with concealer.

  • Start applying your concealer under your eyes and top of your eye lids (This is a very important step).
  • Applying concealer under your eyes helps to eliminate dark circles and really helps to brighten up face.
  • Applying concealer on top of eyelids helps to hide any redness and the very important step to your flawless face.
2. Then, the easiest and quickest way to even out your skin tone is by applying pressed powder.
Apply pressed powder all over your face takes 2 seconds (But if you really need foundation then use it and then apply pressed powder).
3. Next is bronzer, the easiest way to apply bronzer is in 3 motion. You should start by targeting the forehead, cheeks and then chin and of course a light sweep down the middle which covers the nose area to neck.

4. Now choose any eyeliner pencil charcoal, blue, green any color which makes you happy. :)
  • But make sure of using soft eyeliner pencil for easy application. Now apply eyeliner on your eyelid by upper lash line.
  • Make the line a bit thicker than you normally make. So don't worry about being perfect. This is the easiest part!
  • Next take a Q- tip, your finger or smudging brush to gently blend the eyeliner. It will act as eye shadow and eyeliner. All in one.

5.  Last but definitely not the least, you can never forget mascara. Just apply a few coats of deep black and volumizing mascara.

6. Next is the quick sweep of blush, I love blush, huge fan because this gives an extra oomph to brighten up face. You have to start by smiling then apply a light coral or pink blush on apple of your cheeks.

7. And the last one is lip gloss or lipstick of your choice and you are ready to go!

How fast and easy was that. This is totally something you can do every morning and only takes 5 mins.

    Would YOU try this look?

    Winter Makeup - Snow Angel

Winter is in and if you're getting ready for a big night out then you should start digging out that party dress from the back of the closet. But first, dress up your eyes by winter inspired eye makeup ideas. It's surprisingly simple to create by using some familiar steps. These steps require minimal products and just a couple of twists to turn you from looking pretty to gorgeous.
    Look is Snow Angel.
A sheer application of pearly silver is best on fair skin tones, while a denser, more metallic hue flatters darker complexions. Other silvery finishes, such as frosty pink, icy blue, or pale violet, are equally arresting.

    What to Use

    1. A lash curler. (Curler with soft cushion pads prevent lashes from snagging)
    2.Mascara.
    3. Elegant Pearl eye shadow.
    4. Silver Shimmer.

    How to do it -

1: This effect calls for a super-sheer texture that melts right onto your skin, so opt for a loose shimmer or a silky powder shadow.
With a shadow brush, bring the color from the lash line right to the crease. Don't take the color any farther, if you have hooded or mature lids. Ladies with deep-set eyes, however, can bring the color all the way up to the brow bone.

2: Give lashes extra lift with a few pumps of an eyelash curler along the lash line. Or achieve the extra bend with curling mascara.
3: Finally, top with several coats of black mascara, which perfectly balances this bright, icy look.

    Winter Makeup : Golden Girl

The expression of "smoky eye" typically describes a palette of charcoals and grays, there's no reason not to create this super-glamorous look with other hues.
I love the eye brightening effects of gold, copper, and bronze shades -- all done up in the traditional smokey manner.
These colors have light diffusing properties that cast a golden glow and they're also m0re youthful and modern. Just remember the golden rule of shimmer : Younger, taut lids can handle more shimmer, while mature, wrinkled lids require less.

    What to Use
    1. Three golden hues for highlighting, contouring, and lining.
    2. Mascara.
    3. A good Smudge Brush for blending and adding depth.
    4. Eyeliner in Bronze.

    How to Do It

Step 1: With a shadow brush, lightly tap a highlighter color, such as a pale gold, on the brow bone.

Step 2: Next dab a contour color, bronze shadow, along the crease. Mature lids look better with a matte shadow instead of one with shimmer.

Step 3: Run the darkest color, such as a rich copper, along the upper lash line with a smudge brush, whose dense bristles create the perfect line.

Step 4: Time to blend! Every color should meet and slightly overlap. Use smudge brush to smooth the darkest color over the lid, blending it into the crease color. Dust off the brush again and blend the color from the crease to the brow bone.

Step 5: Run a bronze eyeliner pencil all around the eye. Soften the line with a smudge brush and then sweep it along the lower lash line.
Step 6: Finally, apply kajal (optional) and end with a few coats of mascara to show it all off!

    • Use Coral or light brown lipstick to team up with this look.

Get Diwali Look in 15 Minutes

Hello Beauties and Happy Dhanteras !!!!
I've shopped a silver coin and a fat silver anklets / payal for dhanteras and I always feel happy when I shop. So I'm Happy :D
This is my brand new Oriflame Make That Change Palette which has lovely matte and glitter eyeshadows, blushes and glitter and matte lipsticks/lippies. You can say this is my new love. <3
Okay! let's get to the point, Diwali is near and we all are very excited. We usually get ready for Diwali puja in the evening but sometimes we need to get ready quickly for any reason you can come up with. So here are some quick tips and an eye look idea for Diwali.

     1) Start off by washing your face with good face wash.
    2)
Next take a pinch of a light-base face moisturizer and spread it evenly on all parts of your face.
    3)
After soaking in the moisturizer, it’s time for strutting that flawless complexion with the Foundation.
    4)
Follow it up with the compact powder, until the shiny patches of your skin are toned down.

Now comes the eye makeup - Apply eye primer or foundation to hide those dark circles which is given by your laptop/computer.

    6) Now apply a light creamy shimmer eye shadow on whole eyelid.
    7) Use golden and earthy brown eye shadow on eyelid and on crease respectively.
    8) Now apply gel or liquid eyeliner on upper lash line with a wing. You can also make cat eyeliner. I've used Maybelline gel eye liner here.

    9) Apply blue eye pencil on waterline and lower lash line. Use golden eye shadow on lower lash line below the blue liner. Do not forget to add two coats of mascara to plump up those beautiful lashes and give them some volume!

    For blush -
Dab a good amount of the Blush to give your apple cheeks that much needed glow.

    For Lips -

Finally highlight your luscious lips with any pink, brown or red shades, and then outline your lips with the same color of lip liner.
Finish the look by dabbing a dash of nude Lip Gloss.

Hope this will help you to get ready in few minutes.

Wish you all a very Happy Diwali and may your life get filled with lightness and brightness of Dipawali.

    Zebra Print Eye look

More recently. I've been appreciating the imagination, technique, artistry and patience that is used to create animal eye makeup designs. No one can wear this style on a regular day, they are perfect for those special occasions when you get dressed up like Halloween or some fancy dress competition.  This eye look is very bold and outrageous.

I'm using a few products such as white eye shadow and gel or liquid black liner for creating this look.
    Let's begin -
    • Apply a white glitter eye shadow as base on whole eyelid. You can also use matte eye shadow.

    • Use a gel or liquid eye liner to apply thick eye liner on upper lash line and make a long-winged style to the end of eyebrow. Also use eyeliner to line your lower lash line and apply kajal or gel liner on waterline.

    • Then make the zebra print design on highlighting area with the help of eyeliner brush.
    • Shape up the eyebrow and make it thick with eyebrow pencil.
    • Add loads of mascara & You're done.

This would look amazing with hot pink lipstick. :)

What do you think ? Yay or Nay ?

    Cleopatra Eye Makeup

    Hello Beauties!!
Today I tried a very ancient eye look of Cleopatra. So here is a little information about Cleopatra -
Who was she : The last queen of Egypt, Cleopatra, was Queen of Nile. She was regarded as a great beauty even in the ancient world, used her charms to influence the most powerful men in the western world.
Her makeup : The queen of the Nile's ornate eye makeup made her a legend. Once she had her protective kohl, she might then decide to use red ochre on her lips or dab her wrist with perfume.
