How To : Smooth Eyeliner Pencil

A very neat little trick for your daily life which involves your eyeliner pencil.

Take your eyeliner and run it over a lighter for a a second or two not more than that to soften it up a bit.
Let it cool for a second and then you’re good to go to use it. Make sure that the tip isn't too hot.
The process of warming it will allow your eyeliner to apply in a smoother fashion and you’ll be able to get that perfect defined eye look.
( If you left the pencil eyeliner in the flame too long then remove any excess using tissue paper, let it set for 5-10 seconds and apply).

You can also use blow dryer instead of lighter. :)  Just be careful.
It also works to slightly waterproof your eyeliner, especially on the inner rims, as well.

How To : Get Lashed Up

Beautiful, youthful, flirty and effortlessly sexy, who wouldn't want gorgeously long, thick Cheryl Cole-style eyelashes?
But it's not surprising that luxurious lashes are so desirable: they add instant glamour, and widen small, tired eyes to make you look instantly younger.

There is a catch: applying false lashes can be a hit-and-miss affair. So here's a step-by-step guide.

APPLYING LASHES ^_^

1. Remove the lashes from the pack and hold them against your eye to measure them against the length of your own natural lash line. False lashes are often too long for your eye, so ensure you cut the strips to fit. If you leave them too long, they will drag your eyes down - which will have the opposite effect of the youthful look you are aiming for.

I used Konad fake eyelash :

2 Now you have two choices:

  • Either apply the adhesive on to the full length of the base of the false lashes or,
  • Using a brush, place dots of adhesive along your own natural lash-line before pressing the false lash on to it.
I used first method/choice :

 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the opposite eye. It is very important to wait 30 seconds for the adhesive to become tacky before applying the false lashes.

4. You can use Using tweezers, hold the strip lash in the centre. Then place it in the centre of your natural lashes. Then, again using the tweezers, push the inner side of strip lash in place, followed by the outer side.

  • If you don't feel comfortable with tweezers then use your fingers to apply lashes by following same technique used in step 4.
5. Using a 'pinching-and-push' technique with the tweezers to pinch together the strip lashes and your natural lashes, then 'push' them towards your eyelids. Do this all the way across the lashes and repeat for the other eye.

  • You can also use ear bud to push lashes.

Eyeliner can be added if needed, or mascara, but this needs careful application to the natural lashes only.

You can also use fake eyelashes without eye make-up. Try it. :)

Tinsel Your Nail Tips

Normal french tips are definitely overused, so why not put a new funky twist to an old tradition for the new year?
For this new cool look, the steps are simple! All you need is a plum purple nail polish and silver nail polish!

Firstly, apply two coats of the dark purple polish, and then accompany it with a strip of silver along the tip.
In order to get a perfect tip, apply the polish in one quick and clean sweep across the nail instead of spending hours trying to edge it brush by brush.

Dye Eyebrows Naturally

Eyebrow dyeing has become a very common cosmetic way to enhance feminine beauty and highlight the eyes.
Wonderful, well-shaped eyebrows not only enhances face but also the eyes. It is more like giving a beautiful outline to your forehead. Many women like to experiment with new colors frequently.
Don't wanna spend much on eyebrow dyeing done by a pro, follow these simple tips to dye your eyebrows at home naturally.

Eyebrow Dyeing And Regrowing Naturally :

  1. Clean your face well, using a mild soap. Use a mild face scrub for your eyebrows to remove the dry skin that is clogging the hair roots. Coarsely grind the soaked almonds and mix a teaspoon of yogurt. Applying this natural scrub will successfully remove hair and nourish roots.
  2. Make sure your face is completely dry and pull your hair in a ponytail to prevent it from falling into your face.
  3. Take a baby toothbrush or eyebrow brush to remove the loose hair on skin.  Dip the brush in a mild soap solution and brush it gently.
  4. Apply a moisturizer on the eyebrows to prevent the smudging of the hair color.
  5. A branded mascara/ liquid eyeliner can be used as a temporary eyebrow dye.
  6. Boil castor oil, henna and curry leaves in a metallic pan. The herbal mixture is preserved in a glass container and refrigerated. The liquid turns dark after days and applying it on eyebrows twice daily will make the brows naturally black and also support growth.
  7.  Even black coffee decoction( brewed coffee ) is mixed with the henna powder. The natural hair colour can be applied to darken eyebrows.
  8. Add a teaspoon of ghee to the oil lamp. Place a cylindrical metallic mesh around lamp and cover the mesh with a lid. The carbon that gets collected when the lamp is lit is herbal and chemical free. Collecting carbon black in a container and applying it on brows will be an effective eyebrow dye.

Best Lip Colors For Dusky Skin

Lipstick can add a glamour to the simple or stylish look. However, many women have a difficult time choosing their best lipstick color. The skin/complexion can make it confusing to choose the best colour which blends well with the skin tone.
If, nude colors can make you look dull and spoil the glossy evening look. So, which lip colours are ideal for dark skin women?

Best Lip Colors For Dusky Skin :

Red: Go for simple glossy red color to get the juicy lips and add sensuality to the dark skin colour. Wine red and dark red are ideal lip colors for dark skin women. You can apply and carry both formal as well as the informal look with style!

Pink: Go for light pink lip color which Rihanna carried off well at an event. Don't apply lip liner. Let the colour blend with the natural lip colour. It's funky and adds a different appeal to the outfit.

Chocolate : This lip colour can add spark to the dusky look and can be carried off well. Rich cocoa colour and chocolate brown colour can be tried occasionally to flaunt the dusky makeup. Even raisin lip colour can compliment the dark skin of the woman.

Grape: Women with dark skin tone can apply grape lipstick or lip gloss with light coloured outfit. Carry the grape lips in evening and dazzle the party look!

Natural & Morning Makeup Look

Hello Everyone!

Whether you are a working women, mother of children and stay home mom, student or business women who have little or no-time in the morning to put on the makeup then this post is for you.

So here is wake up and make up routine -
1. After cleansing and moisturizing your skin you're going to start right away with concealer.

  • Start applying your concealer under your eyes and top of your eye lids (This is a very important step).
  • Applying concealer under your eyes helps to eliminate dark circles and really helps to brighten up face.
  • Applying concealer on top of eyelids helps to hide any redness and the very important step to your flawless face.
2. Then, the easiest and quickest way to even out your skin tone is by applying pressed powder.
Apply pressed powder all over your face takes 2 seconds (But if you really need foundation then use it and then apply pressed powder).
3. Next is bronzer, the easiest way to apply bronzer is in 3 motion. You should start by targeting the forehead, cheeks and then chin and of course a light sweep down the middle which covers the nose area to neck.

4. Now choose any eyeliner pencil charcoal, blue, green any color which makes you happy. :)
  • But make sure of using soft eyeliner pencil for easy application. Now apply eyeliner on your eyelid by upper lash line.
  • Make the line a bit thicker than you normally make. So don't worry about being perfect. This is the easiest part!
  • Next take a Q- tip, your finger or smudging brush to gently blend the eyeliner. It will act as eye shadow and eyeliner. All in one.

5.  Last but definitely not the least, you can never forget mascara. Just apply a few coats of deep black and volumizing mascara.

6. Next is the quick sweep of blush, I love blush, huge fan because this gives an extra oomph to brighten up face. You have to start by smiling then apply a light coral or pink blush on apple of your cheeks.

7. And the last one is lip gloss or lipstick of your choice and you are ready to go!

How fast and easy was that. This is totally something you can do every morning and only takes 5 mins.

    Would YOU try this look?

Makeup Tip : Best Makeup Routines

When it comes to makeup, ladies, we sure are grateful for its power to enhance beauty and hide little imperfections, but with so many ways to apply it and colors to choose from it can really be confusing!
The many talented makeup artists out there make beauty look so easy, but when trying to duplicate the effort we mess it up!

Here are the secrets to the best Makeup Routines:

    1. First of all, don't fall for the ordinary, be original and stand out in your beauty.
    2. Practice, Play, Experiment. Oh yes, let your little daughter dab in the makeup too, she will benefit from the early practice/play (and then wash her face)! If you teach a teenage daughter to apply natural looking makeup, she won't get her tips from music videos and look like a clown behind your back.
    3. Leave the heavier makeup and dark colors for the evening; keep it fresh and more natural looking during the day. Don't be mistaken Natural Makeup can actually take more work and makeup than its darker evening counterpart. The natural part is the appearance of it.
    4. Don't be scared of makeup, it's not permanent, when it turns into a mess, just rub it off and start the process again. Invest in a good (natural hairs) cosmetic brush set (5 or more), the application is more accurate than with those tiny brushes or the foam eye applicators found in the compacts .
    5. Make sure to have (at least) a powder brush , blush brush , lid brush, crease brush, liner/angle brush, and lip brush. The powder brush is the big one and is used for the powders (regular, bronzer or mineral) for sheer coverage or to set the foundation.
    6. The Blush brush is a bit smaller and is used to apply cheek color, use a caressing motion, not a circular motion (it will ruin the brush). The lid brush is a larger flat brush used to apply the medium eye-shadow to the entire lid (under the brow bone).
    7. The crease brush is used in the crease of the eye, right under the brow bone, use it in a windshield washer motion and a darker color to create dept and a smokey eye. The liner/angle brush is small and stiff with a pointy side, to help create a smooth line along the lashes or to apply color to the eyebrows.
    8. Finally the lip brush should be used to apply lipstick and glosses, for a professional look. When applying powder, dab it on the whole brush and then tap the excess off. Make sure the brushes stay clean by washing them with a brush cleaner every 2 weeks or use a mild soap and plenty of water to rinse then lay flat to dry. Don't ever share brushes with anyone, they should be as personal as your toothbrush.
    9. Buy a few foundation sponges/wedges, wash them often and toss them out when they fall apart. To choose the right color foundation, go to a store that has samples, apply a bit on the jaw bone, this will allow you to match the perfect shade to the face and neck, never try it on the wrist (when is the last time the skin on your wrist matched the face?).
    10. View it in clear day light, lamps can be deceiving. Don't pick a cool shade (pink hues) to apply on a warmer skin undertones and vice-versa (yellow hues on cool skin), it won't look natural.
    • Pick a foundation that won't clog the pores (non-comedogenic) and with SPF to protect from the nasty damaging UV sun rays.
    • Moisturize the skin before applying foundation for smoother blending, or add the liquid foundation to the moisturizer for sheer coverage.
    • Concealers and highlighters should be a mature woman's best friends. It's easier, cheaper and painless way to highlight a facial feature or hide imperfections than to go through "rejuvenating" procedures.
    • Just like artists paint a picture, every woman can use darker colors to deepen the lines or lighter colors to make them stand out. Use a contour powder or cream to chisel the cheek bones or to reshape the nose, and a light reflecting lotion on the cheeks to give that youthful glow.
    • Keep it subtle. Use a concealer to mask a dark circle or age spot (don't go too light or it will give a raccoon effect), match the shade to the rest of the skin or slightly lighter to look natural.
    • To apply foundation, start at the forehead and move down. Blend, blend, blend! Especially into the jawline and hairline, and don't forget the eyelids and lips. Feel free to mix a few foundations (prior to application) to achieve the perfect color.
    • Apply powder to set it for a whole day stay-put makeup. Then have fun playing with color on the rest of the face. Match the blush to the colour you would get when pinching your cheeks, and don't match eye-shadows to the outfit, always go for colors (cool or warm) that match the undertones of your skin. Anyone can wear red lips!
    • There are red shades in both warm (yellowish hues) and cool (bluish hues) colors, so let it be the best accessory for that little black dress. Smokey eyes are absolutely gorgeous on anyone and can work for both day and evening look.
    • Don't assume that black and grey are the only colors allowed for a smokey eye. Any color in the rainbow will do! When skipping on eye colour wear mascara, it's a polished look. Buy one with Lanolin, it's an emollient which improves the consistency and application of the mascara and makes it last longer on the eyelashes.
    • Groom the facial hair, before focusing on makeup. Cut the long eyebrows by brushing them down and holding them with an eyebrow brush (a clean mascara wand will do too), then clip the long strands using small scissors.
    • Don't clip too much, set the rest with a clear eyebrow gel or a bit of Vaseline and a clean mascara wand. Wax or bleach the unwanted facial hair; don't ever cut it or shave it (it's for men), it will grow back coarser and darker.

Makeup Tips For Your Nose Shape

    Hello Beauties!
Sorry for posting after so many days and I think I'll take few more days to recover from my accident. :(
Today I'm gonna tell you great useful makeup tips according to your nose shape. If you find your nose shape too long or too short, too broad or too skinny then don't feel disappoint because there are number of women just like you who feel unhappy about their nose.
Nose contouring is a magical makeup trick to disguise your nose using highlighting and contouring techniques. If you're an Indian then you must have seen nose contouring trick in serial like Uttaran (Channel : Colors).

Broad Nose - Slim down a broad nose with a foundation that is one shade darker than your natural skintone. Sweep along the sides of the nose with a small, firm makeup brush. Start just below the inner corners of the eyebrows, and end at the sides of the nostrils.
Stroke a lighter shade of foundation down the bridge of the nose. Blend well.

Long Nose - Apply a foundation or concealer that is a few shades darker than your natural skintone onto the tip, between and around the nostrils.

Short Nose - Using a darker shade of foundation or a bronzer along the sides of nose. Apply the bronzer from the tip of your nose to the groove between your eyebrows. Contouring the nose from the Centre will really help to give the impression of an elongated nose.
Flat Nose - Apply highlight down the center of the nose, avoiding the sides. Smooth and blend down the center.

Long Nose -  Apply a foundation or concealer that is a few shades darker than your natural skintone onto the tip, between and around the nostrils.

Still feel unhappy with the way your nose looks simply draw attention away from your nose by making your eyes look gorgeous. In this way everyone will notice your eyes. :)

Makeup Tip : How To Get Straight Eyelashes To Curl?

If you have straight eyelashes and want to curl it and wish to hold that curl all day long then this Makeup tip is definitely for you. :)

Buy both waterproof and curling mascara which contains more wax than oil in them which helps to preserve the hold they have on your lashes , as well as their ability to hold a curl.
Using blow dryer and heating your lash curler a bit also a way to keep curl for long but I avoid it because it has chances to damage lashes.
Just make sure to apply mascara just after curling, which will help hold the shape.

If you're on budget, Maybelline New York's Full & Soft Mascara in the waterproof formula lengthens, thickens and will hold all day.

Plz comment and tell me whether you like it or not ?

Makeup Tip : Get Bambi Eyelashes Without Mascara

    Hello beauties!
Sorry for not posting in the morning :(  I was in Chitrakoot in M.P. Visited so many temples and had fun. :)

Today's super Sunday makeup tip is How to get Bambi eyelashes without mascara?

You don't need mascara to make your eye lashes stand out. YES. Just add eyeliner.
To get voluminous looking lashes, apply dark brown or black waterproof eyeliner to the upper rim of your eye -- not on top of the lashes, but in between and underneath them. This gives the illusion of thicker and fuller eye lashes without having a lined eye.

Hope you'll find it helpful. :)

Makeup Ideas For Girls Who Wear Glasses o-o

Do you think adding some frames to our face puts a snag in our makeup game?
Dilemma? Overdo it and you end up looking like sexy librarian gone terribly wrong. Play it too safe and your features disappear.
So here are some fantastically doable tips :

    1. Make It Simple : Best to keep your eye makeup simple. Stick to neutral shades on the eyes but remember to blend a darker color on your crease. save the bright and bold colors for your lips.

    2. Don't be afraid of mascara - Apply 2-3 coats of black mascara. It makes your eyes look bigger.

    3. Gel Liner - Adjusting the thickness of liner is important when you're wearing glasses. "If your frames are thicker , you should apply thick eye liner to upper lash line so that eyes stand out. If your frame are thinner, a softer liner will work."

    4. Day To Night - A bright or dark lip color can instantly transform into party ready and a bright shade of pink blush on your cheek will instantly give your face a lift. OR, you can use a lighter shimmer color on your lower lid. To create a smokey eye look for glasses, double line your eye. It instantly makes your eyes stand out without being too much. just line your eye with gel or pencil, then take similar colored eye shadow and using a liner brush, line above the previous line, smudging as you go.

    5. Define brows - Glasses draw huge attention, so do not forget to shape and color your brows.

    6. Pay Attention - If your prescription makes your eyes look smaller, be sure to line your eyes all the way around. use liner which is darker than the color of your eye. Finish with two to three coats of mascara on top lashes only.
If your prescription makes your eyes look bigger, use light hand when applying your eye makeup and be sure to blend everything carefully. For shadows, go with light and neutral shades. your eyeliner should be thin and delicate with only one coat of mascara.
